As a writer and journalist, RDL read more than 900 books on personal development, business, achievement, success and then converted that into practical steps in the form of articles, reports, whitepapers and ebooks for corporate clients.

In tandem with being a journalist, with access to many corporates due to doing leadership interviews, RDL has been a consultant for the past 25 years in business development, leadership, brand management, and public relations – and acted as project manager in communications, direct sales – delivering exceptional service, providing transparent solutions, and focussing on building long term relationships. 

Apart from all the expertise gained as said above, RDL reviewed more than 300 factual documentaries on history, world issues, social, politics and humanities, and did research into many academic studies on society, and social strata as it played out from 1000s of years ago- interpreting what was observed into possible actions or solutions for various organisations.

Obviously content production is a vital part of a business communications activities and in journalism – content development thus comes naturally for RDL due to many work done for previous clients, corporations, agencies, and media houses.

RDL is founder and organiser of The Recherché Club – a sought after private club where participating members pretend to be better versions of themselves in various ways, striving for the finer things in life. Even though they may have not yet achieved it, they can still experience it for a while.

We play ‘dressing up’ and ‘keeping up appearances’ – enjoy social gatherings in pure opulence and luxury, playful and fun, trying out brand products, services and experiences to explore how we feel about them. The club hosts small boutique events in whichever city RDL finds herself next.

From a very young age RDL had an interest in gemstones, diamonds and gold, probably because her father was in the mining sector who taught her everything about the industry and gemology since a young age. And as part of in-person-meetings on luxury brand advice, RDL acts as a diamond and coloured gemstone broker who sources stones for clients at wholesale prices, resulting in substantial cost savings.


As a single-mother RDL has gone through many personal upheavals, challenges, triumphs, emotional fluctuations, marriages, divorces, betrayals… birthing two children and losing one to a rapid illness that ripped him away without warning, which means RDL has a great understanding of life’s struggles, emotional conflicts, and how to rise from adversity to a place of harmony, peace and happiness.


Currently RDL is based in Cape Town South Africa, stuck there due to Covid travel restrictions, but otherwise service clients worldwide.


Rizél enjoys hiking in nature, travel, good coffee, chocolate, fine-dining, fine wine, good company, philosophy.

Very interested and active in design, architecture, textile, the future, smart cities, renewable energy and novel writing.

As an essential part of her creating processes, Rizél values just sitting in a very comfortable chair, admiring the open landscapes through the wide window, drinking coffee or fine wine next to a crackling fire… thinking…
