It looks at two directions at once:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How environments influence thoughts, emotions, feelings and behavior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How people\u2019s behaviour shape and change their surrounding environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In practice, it asks questions like why certain rooms feel calming, why cities feel stressful, how nature affects attention, or why some places feel safe while others feel overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers in this field often study how design choices like light, noise, crowds, layout, and access to nature impact wellbeing and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key idea remains &#8211; that your brain is constantly responding to your environment, even when you are not consciously aware of it.
