Pain in life comes when our reality doesn\u2019t match our expectations. Most of us expect to have achieved certain milestones in life by a certain age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We expect to be married, have a family, climb the career ladder or reach the top in a specific way within a set amount of time. We expect other people to be kind, respectful and trustworthy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These are our blueprints \u2013 our expectations for the way we believe our lives \u201cshould\u201d turn out to be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When reality doesn\u2019t live up to our blueprints, we feel pain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The truth is that life doesn\u2019t owe you anything \u2013 so stop expecting and start managing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reality is no one cares about your expectations except you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
