Layout
Layout means the way things are arranged or organised within a space.
In design, or architecture, it describes where different parts are placed and how they relate to each other.
For example, how rooms connect, where corridors go, and how people flow through the structure.
A good layout usually considers:
- Movement, how people walk through the space
- Function, what each area is meant to be used for
- Comfort, how the space feels to be in
- Efficiency, avoiding wasted or awkward space
To design spaces optimally, certain strategies are used:
